Married Pair

The single-deck Married Pair passenger coaches operate on the West network in Schleswig-Holstein. They run between Hamburg, Itzehoe, Husum and Westerland on the island of Sylt.

Married Pair coaches are a special formation of single-deck passenger coaches. The power and auxiliary coaches are permanently coupled in pairs, sharing technical systems such as the power supply.

The 90 Married Pair passenger coaches for which Northrail is responsible as keeper, ECM and asset manager operate on the West network between Hamburg, Itzehoe, Husum and Westerland on the island of Sylt.
