Northrail Summer Event

Rail. Exchange. Future.

That was the focus last week at the heart of logistics: the Port of Hamburg. There, we met our customers at the Northrail Summer Event 2026 for a day full of open discussions and fresh ideas. We also had two special guests of honour on site: one of our Traxx 3 MS trains and a Vectron Dual Mode.

It quickly became clear that rail is the most energy-efficient mode of land transport and will remain so. The industry is on the right track, and we’re delighted to be playing an active part in shaping its future.

However, the agenda wasn’t limited to the latest trends in rail transport: given this exceptional location, a bus tour through the Altenwerder Container Terminal and a subsequent harbour tour offering a behind-the-scenes look at Germany’s largest seaport were a must. The day was perfectly rounded off by glorious summer weather and an evening get-together on the event vessel Bleichen.

Our discussions with our guests showed us once again how important it is to stay close to the market, to listen and to develop ever-better solutions to our customers’ challenges. That is precisely our aim – today and in the future.
