Change in the management of the Northrail Group
Northrail, the Hamburg-based leasing provider, manager and developer of innovative investments for rail vehicles, announces that the shareholders of the Northrail Group and Michael Trentzsch, until now Chief Investment Officer and Chief Commercial Officer, have mutually agreed to terminate their employment relationship.
Hamburg, 9 July 2025 – Michael Trentzsch has been part of the company group since 2015. During this time, he played a key role in the success of Northrail, making a significant contribution to our company. His involvement was instrumental in the growth of Northrail, notably through the business development with the rail vehicle manufacturers and the numerous projects achieved over the years. In his most recent role, he was responsible for Investment Management & Business Development, Sales, Legal and Marketing & Communications.

Michael Trentzsch's responsibilities will, for the time being, be taken over by Dr Volker Simmering, who will initially represent Northrail GmbH and Northrail Investment Management GmbH alone.
