The four-axle Smartron electric locomotive from Siemens Mobility is based on the proven Vectron concept. Its tried-and-tested platform technology focuses on the essentials and has been carefully engineered down to the smallest detail. Proven components such as the driver’s cab and control desk ensure a high level of operational safety. Features such as Eco Mode and energy consumption monitoring also enable the Smartron to operate with particularly high energy efficiency. It is highly cost-effective and reliable and is approved for operation in Germany.
